Maternal Health Microcredential

This course will provide students with an introduction to Maternal Health. By the end of this

course, students will be able to apply comprehensive maternal health principles to promote safe

pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. They will demonstrate knowledge and skills in

prenatal education, early recognition of warning signs, facilitation of healthcare referrals, and

delivery of respectful, culturally sensitive care. Students will also support maternal mental health,

nutrition, and overall wellness, while understanding Wyoming’s maternal health system and

related programs, to ensure positive outcomes for mothers, newborns, and families.
